Postby pippetto123 » February 6th, 2012, 8:17 am

Hi and thx for an eventually answer

Joomla 1.7.3+ installed and working correctly in domain root folder (i.e. http://site.com)
phpBB 3.0.6+ installed and working correctly (should be installed in first-level folder of Joomla! domain, i.e. http://site.com/phpBB3).

Is there a way for resolve this requirements? I have Joomla 2.5 not in root and phpbb in a subfolder of directory where i have install joomla.

for example

joomla http://mysite/web
phpbb http://mysite/distribution

Thanks for the reply.
But I'm stubborn.

If I move my joomla installation in root and phpbb in subfolder I have only link (404) problem for acutal post.

In your opinion if I update post_text with a query for replace old url with new?

Same this:
Code: Select all
UPDATE phpbb3_posts set post_text = replace(post_text, 'http://www.mydomain.it/web/distribution', 'http://www.mydomain.it/distribution')

and same solution for link inside articles of joomla?

possible
+ you can additionally setup 301 redirects in /.htaccess for keeping indexed pages, i.e.:
Code: Select all
RewriteRule ^web/distribution(.*) /distribution$1 [R=301,L]

So all old links from /web/distribution/ will be auto-redirected to /distribution/

I have Joomla 2.5 and phpbb3.0.10 with Jfusion are supported?

excuse the questions paranoid
